Choose saddle-stitch for booklets under 64 pages - it is the most economical and the most common. Choose Perfect Binding Books for thicker publications that benefit from a flat, printable spine and shelf presence. Choose Bound Books (coil, comb, or Wire-O) when the piece needs to lay completely flat or fold back on itself, such as manuals, workbooks, and cookbooks. Choose gloss booklets when visual impact is the priority. Choose uncoated when your audience needs a no-glare, writable surface.
Perfect Binding Books use a glued, flat, square spine that can be printed with a title - it looks like a traditional paperback and is ideal for shelf display. Bound Books use mechanical hardware (coil, comb, or Wire-O) instead of glue, which lets the book open completely flat with each page rotating a full 360 degrees. If your publication needs to stay open on a desk or counter, choose Bound Books; if it needs to look and feel like a finished book, choose Perfect Binding.
We offer 60lb Uncoated, 80lb and 100lb Gloss Text, 80lb and 100lb Matte Text for interior pages. Cover stocks include 80lb and 100lb Gloss Cover, Matte Cover, and lamination options including gloss, matte, and soft-touch.
Submit a single PDF with all pages in sequential order. Total page count must be a multiple of 4. Include 0.125" bleed on all four sides and keep text and logos at least 0.125" from all trim edges. Use CMYK color mode at 300 DPI minimum.
Standard sizes include 5.5" x 8.5", 8.5" x 11", and 8.5" x 5.5" landscape. Custom sizes are available for saddle-stitch and perfect binding - contact us with your dimensions for a quote.
