A medium-weight coated stock with a bright gloss finish that makes colors pop. Excellent ink holdout, sharp vivid printing. Practical and economical choice for folders that will be mailed or carried frequently.
The printing industry standard for presentation folders. Coated on both sides for equal print sharpness on front, back, and inside pockets. Solid, confident feel. Our most popular stock for everyday corporate and marketing folders.
Our heaviest coated option. Unmistakable premium thickness and rigidity. The weight alone communicates quality before a single word is read. Ideal for executive presentations, high-end sales kits, and premium client meetings.
A smooth uncoated board with a natural matte feel. Easy to write on. Distinctive, understated quality. Popular choice for law firms, financial institutions, and professional services businesses. Accepts pen and pencil cleanly.
Full 4-color CMYK printing on both the outside cover and the inside of the folder. Best choice when your inside panels carry branded graphics, product images, or company messaging. Delivers a polished, fully branded experience from every angle.
Full color on the outside front cover combined with black and white printing on the inside. A practical option when the back panel carries text-only content such as terms, contact information, or a product list that does not require color reproduction.
Full color on the outside front cover with the inside surfaces left unprinted. Ideal when your folder will be stuffed with branded inserts that provide all the inside messaging, or when you want a clean, minimal interior for a focused presentation.
The pocket layout of your 6x9 presentation folder determines how you organize and present your materials. Choose the configuration that best matches your content and workflow.
| 1 Pocket - Left (Front) Side | A single pocket on the left side of the open folder. Directs attention to one organized stack of inserts. Ideal for simple handout kits and presentations where the right side is reserved for a notepad, contract, or other document. |
| 1 Pocket - Right (Back) Side | A single pocket on the right side of the open folder - naturally where the eye travels first when a folder is opened. Works well for single-document presentations and proposals where all materials belong in one organized pocket. |
| 2 Pockets - Left and Right | Dual pockets on both sides give you maximum organizational flexibility. Left pocket for company background and capabilities materials, right pocket for the specific proposal or product information. The best choice for complete sales kits and trade show packages. |
A business card slit die-cuts a small slot into your folder pocket to hold a standard 3.5" x 2" business card securely in place. Choose from horizontal or vertical orientations and select which pocket receives the slit.
| No Business Card Slits | No die-cut slit. Best when inserts already include contact information on every sheet. |
| On Both Pockets - Horizontal | Card slides in from the side, sitting horizontally. Keeps one card accessible in each pocket. |
| On Both Pockets - Vertical | Card slides in from the top, sitting upright and prominently visible above your inserts. |
| On Left (Front) Pocket - Horizontal | Horizontal slit on the left pocket only. Right side reserved for uninterrupted insert presentation. |
| On Left (Front) Pocket - Vertical | Card sits upright and visible above the insert stack in the front pocket. |
| On Right (Back) Pocket - Horizontal | Horizontal slit on the right pocket only. Ideal when the right pocket is your primary presentation pocket. |
| On Right (Back) Pocket - Vertical | Card stands upright in the right pocket - the first thing a recipient sees when opening the folder. |

A 6x9 presentation folder is a folded printed piece made from heavyweight paper or board stock, designed to hold and organize printed insert materials such as brochures, flyers, business cards, proposals, and data sheets. The folder measures 6 inches wide by 9 inches tall when closed and 12 inches wide by 9 inches tall when flat open. Inside pockets - die-cut from the folder panels and glued along the edges - hold your inserts securely in place. The compact 6x9 size is smaller than a standard letter-size folder, making it easier to hand out, carry, mail, and store while still providing a fully branded, professional presentation for your materials.
C2S stands for Coated Two Sides, meaning both surfaces of the board are coated for sharp, vibrant printing. The number refers to the thickness measured in points, where one point equals 1/1000 of an inch. 14pt C2S is approximately 0.014 inches thick and is the standard weight for presentation folders - solid, professional feel and the most widely used option. 16pt C2S is approximately 0.016 inches thick, noticeably heavier and more rigid, communicating premium quality the moment it is picked up. Choose 16pt for high-end client presentations and executive sales kits. Choose 14pt for everyday marketing and trade show handouts where cost efficiency matters alongside quality.
Full Color Front / Blank Back means we print your full 4-color CMYK design on the outside cover of the folder while the inside surfaces including the pocket interiors are left unprinted. This is our most economical printing option and works well when your inserts provide all the inside messaging. Since the inside of the folder is not visible when it is closed, many businesses find this option delivers a completely professional presentation while keeping print costs lower. If your brand guidelines call for a consistent color experience throughout, or if your inside panels carry marketing content or photography, choose Full Color Both Sides instead.
A single pocket on the left (front) side is ideal for simple kits where all materials belong together in one organized stack and the right side is used for a notepad, agreement, or other flat sheet. A single right pocket works well when your materials should be presented on the right-hand panel, where most people naturally look first when opening a folder. Dual pockets on both sides give you maximum flexibility for organizing two distinct categories of material and are the best choice for complete sales kits, trade show packets, and new client welcome folders.
A business card slit is a small die-cut slot made in the face of a folder pocket that holds a standard business card (3.5" x 2") securely in place. The card slides into the slot and is held by friction - no adhesive required. Slits are available in horizontal orientation (card slides in from the side) or vertical orientation (card slides in from the top and stands upright). The vertical orientation is especially useful because the card extends above the top edge of your inserts when the folder is opened, making it immediately visible. Slits can be placed on the left pocket only, the right pocket only, or on both pockets simultaneously.
In a horizontal slit, the card rests horizontally in the pocket, parallel to the bottom edge of the folder. In a vertical slit, the card stands upright in the pocket, perpendicular to the bottom edge. The vertical orientation tends to be more visible because the top of the card extends slightly above the other inserts, making it easier for a recipient to locate and remove your card. Horizontal slits keep the card completely contained within the pocket for a lower-profile presentation. Both orientations hold a standard 3.5" x 2" business card securely.
Set your artwork document to 12.25" x 9.25" - the full flat open size of 12" x 9" plus 0.125" bleed on all four sides. The center score line runs vertically at the 6" midpoint of your flat file, dividing the front cover (left half) from the back cover (right half). Keep all critical text, logos, and important design elements at least 0.125" inside the trim line. Use CMYK color mode at 300 DPI minimum. Outline all fonts before saving as a print-ready PDF. Contact us for a free die-line template specific to your chosen pocket and slit configuration before you begin your design.
Yes. Request a PDF proof when placing your order. Our prepress team will prepare a digital proof showing your artwork as it will appear on the printed folder, including bleed, trim, score position, pocket placement, and slit location. You review the proof, request any corrections if needed, and give final approval before we send the job to press. For most first-time folder orders we strongly recommend reviewing a proof to confirm that pocket placement, score position, and slit location all appear exactly as intended before production begins.
Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days from the date your approved print-ready file is received and confirmed. Rush turnaround is 3 business days for tighter deadlines. Turnaround time begins the next business day after file approval and does not include shipping transit time. If you are ordering for a specific event or deadline, order with enough lead time to allow for both production and shipping. Call us at 1-800-423-2679 before placing a rush order to confirm availability for your quantity and delivery date.
Yes. Contact our prepress team and we will send you a free die-line template matching your exact pocket configuration and business card slit selection. The die-line shows the trim lines, fold and score lines, pocket flap areas, and slit positions overlaid on the 12" x 9" flat artwork canvas so you can design with complete accuracy. We strongly recommend requesting a template before beginning your design, especially if this is your first presentation folder project or if you are using a non-standard pocket or slit combination.
Our team can help with paper stock selection, pocket configuration, die-line templates, and rush scheduling.
